Frequently asked questions

What type of properties do your service?

We provide professional window cleaning for offices, professional venues, commercial storefronts, restaurants and private residential homes.

How often should I have my windows cleaned?

For businesses the ideal frequency depends on your business type and location. Storefronts in high traffic areas or with glass doors that get a lot of fingerprints often need cleaning weekly or bi-weekly. This is also true for restaurants where it is not recommended to do less than bi-weekly. Offices typically only require servicing once every 1 to 4 months. Private homes really depend on the circumstances but most commonly twice per year is recommended.

How much does it cost?

Our pricing varies depending on factors like window size and type, total number of windows, frequency, accessibility and special needs such as debris or hard water stain removal. Contact us for a free quote tailored to your needs.

Do you clean windows inside and out?

Yes! We offer both interior and exterior window cleaning however for interior residential windows we will give you an approximate estimate until we see them in person to give you the final price.

Why should I have my windows cleaned?

Over time dirty windows can compound a number of negative effects. This includes higher energy bills in winter when dirty windows block out the warm rays from the sun that naturally heat the indoors. Debris and dirt can degrade and cause irreversible damage to your window. Dirty windows and sills can also contribute to bad air quality and a poor image. Clean windows eliminate these effects and contribute to a positive environment.

Energy efficient Low-E windows or Film Tinted windows especially need to be maintained as the coating or tint cannot tolerate scrub pads or aggressive chemicals like a normal pane of glass can. To protect your investment regular cleaning to prevent build-up is highly recommended.

What if it rains after my windows are cleaned?

Clean windows resist dirt. Light rain won't affect professionally cleaned windows as the rain will simply sheet off. Because of this we offer a 3 Day 'Rain Guarantee' meaning that if we clean your windows and you feel that they need touching up due to rain within 3 days of our cleaning them we will fix them for free with no questions asked! However heavy rains with really high winds can pick up a lot of dirt, pollen or other debris so we schedule our window cleaning to work around rare occasions like that.

Do you remove hard water stains or silicone or paint from windows?

Yes, we offer specialized cleaning for hard water stains, paint and other tough residues on existing windows. Please let us know in advance what your needs are. Removal requires more time and specialized equipment to do safely without damaging the window so we will communicate with you to find the best solution that works for you.

Do I need to be present during the cleaning?

No, as long as we have access to the windows, we can complete the job without disrupting your schedule. However for one time or same day service jobs we do require a point of contact to arrange for payment that day.

How do you price residential homes?

We quote 4 different things when cleaning windows at residential homes. 1) Window Cleaning based on type and size, 2) Window Screen Cleaning, 3) Window Track Deep Cleaning, and 4) Special requests such as paint or hard water stain removal. We will do just your windows if you want or all four, it is up to you. Discounts up to 20% are available for bundled services. Window Cleaning includes a complimentary wipe down of your frames and sills so they aren't left wet. Window Screen cleaning is generally $4 per screen but if you remove them and re-install them yourself it is $2 per screen.

If you have energy efficient Low-E windows or Storm windows installed in your home please let us know as they need to be handled or quoted differently.

Also please let us know if you have any Skylights hidden from street view.

What is your quote policy?

Officially it is: "All Quotes include removal of normal organic debris from the windows. If any paint, silicone, stains, etc are found you will be notified and if removal is requested there will be an additional commensurate fee." In practice we will not bring it up unless it is a significant change to the amount of work involved or if removal requires special equipment to ensure the safety of your windows and/or our staff. Our policy reflects the fact that sometimes unexpected surprises are found on the windows.

Are you certified or insured?

Yes we are safety certified for everything that we do. This means that if an Occupational Health and Safety Inspector were to show up on a job site we would simply smile and show our certification if asked. We also carry $2 Million dollars worth of liability insurance to protect your property.
